Anyone know if the game is going to be on espn3? With the switch around they don’t have anything listed but it doesn’t seem like it would be real difficult for them to televise it.

What an absolute run by CSU to finish this game.

Wow I guess me saying something was what was needed to spark this team on an amazing 14-0 run the last 3 and a half minutes as Patton sinks a 3 pointer with 1:11 to go and CSU now leads 84-77 after trailing 77-70.

Impressive win. Fort Wayne is one great shooting team.

This team just continues to find ways to win. A 16-0 run to take control and a 20-4 run overall to close it out. From down 7 to winning by 9 in less than 5 minutes!
Another great performance by Finstuen, Gomillion was back to himself with his best game of the season, Patton with a near triple double, and Hodge with some clutch threes.
Give PFW credit, they can shoot the lights out and they have played us tough these last two years. Watching them play CSU I always come away thinking they should have a better record. I don’t know if they underachieve against everyone else or overachieve against us.
I love watching this team play and am happy the 3 week wait is over. And we’re right back at it next week against…PFW.

Scary win and we get to play them 2 more times. I know we played them 5 times last year and won 4. But I can't remember any of those games being blowouts.
Also, I understand Big Al is now available to play. I wonder how they will work him into the rotation.

Think maybe a little rust needed to be shaken off. Fort Wayne is looking like a good team

That Ft. Wayne team can shoot. They do seem to play better against CSU than anyone else. I also think playing them so many times, makes it easier for the lesser team to have a chance.
All in all, a nice comeback win for CSU. That was a great college basketball game.

It was nice to see Craig Beaudion behind the bench tonight (still in a boot). I hadn’t seen him around since the injury.

It looks like there was an unfortunate event after last week’s game between a fan/fans and PFW players. Below is a quote from an email sent by AD Scott Garrett.
Event staff and security will be more vigilant starting with tonight’s game and the email lays out increased measures and fan expectations.
I wonder if last week’s game being an open general admission game contributed to a more lax environment that might allow fans to access areas where they shouldn’t have access.
TOTO you weren’t back in the student section for this one were you? I think you still hold the record for ejections.

I was finally going to get see them play in person against Duke until that got canceled two years in a row.

Another solid win for the Vikes. The only complaint I have right now is I’d really like to see them clean it up from the line (12-20 tonight).
Hodge was amazing at every aspect today except putting the ball in the basket (7 rebounds, 4 steals, 4 assists, 1 block). Gomillion was aggressive and perfect from the floor. Patton was solid with another double double. I love how hard they’re all playing. Unselfish too.
Some good contributions off the bench although the rotation was sporadic. Only 7 minutes for Finstuen (all or most in the first half) after getting 22 last game, Green/Mirambeaux/Majok combined for 19 minutes, with each entering the game once, after they combined for only 7 last game, and Woodrich played 20 minutes after only logging 8 last game.

This must have been Gomillion's best night shooting the ball as Vike. While not so much so for Hodge. Almost a role reversal. I also appeared that Gates tightened to rotation a bit.

I think Gomillion is undervalued here. In our 4 conference games this year here are his numbers: 24-35 shooting for 69% including 5-9 from 3 for 56%. He’s our leading scorer at 15.3 points per game to go along with 5.3 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1 steal. Compare that to Hodge who is shooting 44% from the floor and 33% from 3. He’s the 3rd leading scorer at 13.0 per game while averaging 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals. I love both players and they both obviously bring tremendous value to the team. But somehow Hodge is talked about as a superstar while Gomillion had a thread asking for him to be benched. He’s never going to score 30 or 40 like Hodge can but he’s more consistent night in night out. He’s going to play 30 minutes and score 10-12 points while shooting 50% from 2 and he’ll get you 5 rebounds 2 assists and a steal while playing tough D. And occasionally he’ll get hot from 3 and have a 20 point night. He’s been that exact guy for 3 years now.

He's the glue guy on the team .. but he's much more in that he steps up and fills roles that could be lacking. Tonight it was scoring. Some nights it's rebounding. Other nights, it's assists. Patton's the go-to guy, Hodge has the quicks to match up with anyone and score 30 or get 5 steals on any given night, and Gomillion is the guy Gates can plug in just about anywhere and he'll be a positive contributor most every night.

Another thing about Gomillion, he led our team in scoring in roughly one quarter of the games last year (5/23 regular season and 1/4 post season). He also averaged 18 ppg, 9.7 rpg, 3.7 apg and 1.0 spg in the Horizon League tournament.
I’ve been around basketball a long time. Sometimes guys who don’t look pretty just have a knack for getting the job done and showing up when their team needs them most. That’s Gomillion.

When Gomillion accumulates a bunch of points in a game, it surprises me because of my defensive centric bias of Gomillion.

Gomillion is really surprising, hope Hodge doesn't go back to his inconsistent ways on offense. He's a more athletic version of Bryn Forbes if he can be more consistent on offense
