Just not enough talent need to somehow land a great player not sure how to get our next Norris Cole or J'Nathan Bullock ect exactly, we have a good center in Euruna, we need another go to player. Like Norris or JNathan. Imagine if we still had Appleby, he's doing great at Wake Forest. 18ppg. What a 1,2 punch he would have made with Euruna. And improved Lowder and that kid from Shaker could be the difference next year, we hope

The last 5 games are not so much an issue of talent. For the HL, the Vikes are competitive. The only resounding L was to Detroit.
A difference a year makes. The Gates teams always seem to over perform. Whereas we may be witnessing a team that is under performing.

This team was picked to finish 7th and they are two out with 6 left to play and 4 at home. They still could win the conference and should finish in the top 4. Hard to say this is a disappointing season.
Yeah, they should have executed better down the stretch at Oakland, but let's be honest, there were multiple times CSU clearly was fouled and there was no call. Then, a ticky-tack (at best) foul was called on Cleveland State on the other end. If that game was called the same for 40 minutes, Cleveland State wins.

I guess I'll never understand the concept of establishing an arbitrary rank for an unknown team at the beginning of the year. Then stating to the world that the Oracle has spoken. What makes that a valid baseline? Why not 10th? Note IUPUI always reserves the last spot no matter what.
I think a better baseline for a 1st year coach and a bunch of new players should be recalibrated throughout the season. After all, the team is no longer unknown and these types of adjustments are done by various rating / ranking systems.
As an HL team, the Vikes are clearly better than average. But this is a 1 bid league and it is very important that the Vikes gain momentum going into the HLT. Here’s for reversing the trend and getting hot.

Since 2014, we—the students and professors of the Know Rivalry Project—have been answering this question for professional sports with the help of message board members. Now we are expanding our research to the Horizon League. Please help us ensure that the Oakland Golden Grizzlies are included by taking 9 minutes to complete our updated survey: umassamherst.co1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_3FdJ8eN2EgFCfCB?grpID=1472&mbsrc=SPB307We have had previous results in many different sports media outlet. You can view those results, etc at our KnowRivalry.com website. The Grizzlies may have an obvious rival, but who is the second or third rival? Is there a second or third? Thanks to the message board community, we've added data to the rivalry debate. No one knows the rivalries of Oakland better than this message board community.
