6-5 G Zeb Jackson transferring from Michigan. Was the #11 shooting guard in the nation and #9£th overall prospect. Probably will end at Toledo. We'll see. He's from Toledo Ohio.

hopefully we can hold on to Gates and land some of these players. Gates is a program changing coach our attendance is better which will attract more recruits. Gonna be a tall order going up against Ohio State Michigan,Michigan State and the MAC who can just come into the Vikings back yard and pluck what ever talented blues chipper the want. (See Chris Livingston). Where gonna need more $$$$ but we do have a decent endowment 100milliom or close to it. Need more big time donors. |

Does anyone know how the bonus Covid years affects the scholarship limit of 13?
This year there’s a roster size exception that allows CSU to have 15 scholarship players, but I believe that was a one year only exemption. Any player who was on a roster during 2020-21 will be eligible to enact their bonus year at the end of their eligibility, but with my understanding, starting next year they’d have to fit within the roster limit of 13.
By my count we have 11 scholarship players eligible to return next season. Does that explain why Young is rumored to be taking a prep year?

My understanding is that teams must be back down to 13 next year, even if the guys who are eligible (like the ones you mention) return. I could be wrong, but I’ve read about this crunch hitting football teams this offseason (getting to 85). I assume the exemption would be applied uniformly for all sports but maybe that’s an assumption too. Has anyone seen anything published either way that states it’s more than a one-year exemption for basketball? |

Thanks for Sharing. Hmmm, it's still not clear to me how eligibility and scholarship count are aligned. Is that an example or the rule? If it's an example, then I would interpret it as for the next 4 years, just increment the # by 1 until you reach 2024. If its a rule, then only the seniors received the exemption. Anyone on the board from Marshal Law? |

But after seeing the news around football roster crunches I don't think that's true. The only thing I haven't been able to find is an article talking specifically about basketball. |

This...spoke briefly to Al Pawlowski at the FTW game...his understanding was that the only guys FOR SURE that wont be back are Patton, Finstuen and Jack. This means both Beaudoin AND Eichelberger COULD try for Medical red-shirts. (Both were at the game)....Beaudoin in sweats and big AL was suited up but clearly looked as if he knew he was not going to play. My gut feeling is Beaudoin will return and Al wont...but who knows. |
