The Superfan is BACK fresh off a 3-1 opening round! (All odds by DraftKings Sportsbook)
Oakland @ Wright State (-4.5, 147.5): This should be the best game of the night. 4 of the top 5 players in the Horizon League are playing in this game, per Ken Pom. Wright State beat Oakland twice during the regular season. The Superfan could see the spread in this one going either way, as well as the game itself going either way. I do think that this will be a very entertaining, back and forth game, with all of the talent playing at a high level. Given the talent level, as well as it being a close game with the chance for fouling and overtime, the Superfan likes OVER 147.5 points in this game.
UIC @ Fort Wayne (-6.5, 147): When these two played 3 weeks ago @ Fort Wayne, the Mastodons won by 7. That's right where the oddsmakers have set this spread. Fort Wayne starts 5 seniors. UIC starts 3. Fort Wayne has won 9 games in a row. UIC is playing possessed and like they want to win the whole tournament to give a big middle finger to the entire conference on their way out the back door to the Missouri Valley Conference. What to take? Nothing. The Superfan is avoiding this game as anything could happen!
Detroit @ Northern Kentucky (-4.5, 137.5):Detroit beat NKU by 8 at home, and beat them by 6 at NKU. Detroit may be a bad matchup for NKU. I think that Antoine Davis is playing at an extremely high level right now, and I think he carries Detroit to a big win over what is a very young NKU team. The Superfan will take Detroit getting the 4.5, but thinks Detroit wins outright here.
Robert Morris @ Cleveland State (-11, 144): Robert Morris led Cleveland State with less than 8 minutes left in both games these teams played this year. Cleveland State also doesn't win many games by more than 11. Very rarely. RMU looked extremely sharp in beating up Youngstown State last night. Cleveland State will play well in spurts, and struggle in spurts, and have their patented 5 minute scoring drought. I think it all adds up to a very strong pick in taking Robert Morris and the 11 points here. CSU's experience and talent hopefully can win them this game. It definitely will be very difficult tomorrow night.
