Laura Bloomberg named as the new president. This might explain why there was some delay in getting assistant coach contracts completed. Some major moves behind the scenes. They are saying it was mutual but this was a board decision.

It feels to me like there is something else going on. If Sands were simply resigning, why not wait a couple weeks until the academic year is completed? It feels like the move was rushed and done immediately. I would think if there really was just a philosophical difference, they would have waited until the summer and taken their time with it. I feel like there is more to the story that will come out.

So the school dropped a million dollars to make Harlan Sands go away. Also they immediately added a president with no interim title. I know this is a basketball focused forum but this whole things raises some serious questions and it seems like no one in the media can even be bothered to raise them.
