Money would definitely be one of the main considerations but I think you have to look at the situation. Is WSU really a better job than CSU? ADs who want to step up usually need to land at a school with a football program. That is a major chip on an ADs resume. It's not exclusive, but if Garrett has significant career ambitions, that's what I'd look for. You never know though, a double in salary and the MVC could be enough to lure him away if he's a serious candidate. He's done a pretty good job.

Btw, they left the MVC and moved to the American Athletic Conference a back in 2017. Given that the AAC is not what it used to be, who knows they might move back to the MVC (I doubt it). They would be better off in the A10 if they decided to move.

believe it or not there have been rumors of the Shockers moving back to the MVC. Those rumors are from MVC fans and that is wishful thinking on their part. ok. Wouldn't surprise me as it happened though

The only 2 conferences I think they would move for are the Big East or A-10. Their ego is way too big to drop back down to the MVC. it's a better possibility if that happening. Especially the Big East.
