With so much turnover, this is not easy. Therefore, I'm asking myself how much did WSU improve and who replaces who we lost. Is Tristan Enaruna an improvement over Hodge? Is Tujautae Williams an improvement over Patton? finally is JaMir Price an improvement over Gomillion? Frankly, I have not seen any of the new guys play. If nothing else changes, this is a taller lineup. That should be a plus for defense and maybe rebounds. If any of these 3 can shoot the ball, that would also be a slight advantage.
Trying to gauged how the rest of HL did this off season is also a crap shoot. But you have to think the bottom 3 teams will be better. After last year's HL showing, there is no guarantee the HL will fare better.
I'm going to assume the HL will be the HL of last year. Some of the teams will shuffle a little. The 2 slots to fill can make a difference between a inexperienced bench or an ok bench. With these assumptions in mind, I'm going to predict that the Vikes starters will play heavier minutes than last year and be a slightly better starting 5. The rest of the league will be about the same. This should be better than a 500 team and no team in the HL runs away.
I'm settling on a 4th place finish with a 13 - 7 record and with the Vikes losing in the 2nd round of the HLT.
No idea. I just picked a record and rationalized it.

I haven’t followed the other teams too much but I know all the best players from the best teams are gone. The conference will be bad again and it’s wide open. Until we see the players actually play, we’ll have no way of knowing. But on paper, unless I’ve missed something, there’s no reason this roster couldn’t be competitive in the top half of the HL.

Hope everyone is enjoying their summer.
Until we actually see these kids play together, hard to tell.
But after seeing all that left the Horizon League, hard to fathom this will be a better conference than last seaso. And last season, it wasn't very good.
Just looking at the CSU roster, I would guess they would be in the upper half, probably the top 4. But it's all wild speculation in June.
