Parker Eneruna Spider Woodrich Lowder
It's really hard to come up with a starting 5....could be many combinations before it is settled. Chime in with your thoughts!

azvike I'll go with your five. The new guys do show scoring potential but the only question I have is can they play defense? That's where we're going to miss Hodge and Gomillion the most, they kept us in games.

Robinson numbers were at a D2 school. Many on this board like Parker & Woodrich more than me. I'm hoping some of the new guys are bring a better game

According to Verbal Commits, Chase Robinson and Tristan Enaruna are expected to Red Shirt this year. They list every transfer as an expected red-shirt on that site. It doesn't mean anything. They have Amari Davis and Trent Sisley as ERS for Wright State.

In all the videos posted to social media, coaches seem to have the following 5 guys grouped together as of now: Parker Hill Woodrich Enaruna Johnson Seems to be an early indication of what could be a starting 5. Could see Hill getting pushed for a spot, but for now understand having the 4 returnees starting with Enaruna.

This would be my leading candidate to start…….Someone tell me why this starting 5 couldn’t be as good as last year starting 5

You guys think alot more of Parker, Hill & Woodrich than I do. Jags to me. Unless those 3 have improved alot if they're starting & getting big minutes I think it's gonna be a long losing season. Lowder has to be better than Parker or Hill & Williams should get a long look Drake is another one I think might get some minutes

This would be my leading candidate to start…….Someone tell me why this starting 5 couldn’t be as good as last year starting 5 You lose size, rebounding and defense from Gomillion to Hill. Hill is a better outside shooter. You lose athleticism, defense and slashing ability from Hodge to Woodrich. Woodrich has the ability to at least match the outside shooting - both are streaky. Woodrich needs to really show improvement towards meeting his top end potential. For this lineup to work he needs to be a top 2 scoring option. Patton to Enaruna is the wildcard. Patton was our go-to guy whenever we needed to create a bucket from nothing. His size and strength allowed him to bully his way into the paint. I don’t know Enaruna’s game that well. Hopefully he can bring what Patton did while also adding more outside shooting. Same as Woodrich, this lineup needs Enaruna as a top two scoring option. If this is the starting lineup, I think our bench has the chance to be more dynamic. You’d be replacing Hill and Woodrich as solid rotational guys with some combination of Lowder, Price, Drake and Williams.

Lowder has to be better than Parker or Hill & Williams should get a long look Drake is another one I think might get some minutes Parker started last year and was fine as a solid ball control lead guard. I do think we’ll see Parker score a bit more this year with a few extra shots per game. Last year he shot in line with his career numbers from James Madison where he averaged 7.8 ppg on 6.7 field goal attempts per game over 2 seasons. He averaged 4.4 here last year on 3.4 field goal attempts per game. The improvement needs to come from Hill, who would be replacing Gomillion, and Woodrich, who would be replacing Hodge. Those are different types of players. We’ll definitely lose defense. But scoring wise *could* be a wash. Hill was really good for us last year and he’s a better and more consistent outside shooter. But Woodrich is the one who really has to improve his consistency for this to work. Gates used to talk up Woodrich saying he was a future 20 ppg scorer. Now’s the time.

Honestly this team is probably as mystery as you get, probably as mystery as Gates first year , who starting don’t mean as much to me early in the year, as coach is going to have to do a lot of mix and match to see what he got….Wouldn’t surprise me by the time league come around we have 2/3 new starters……

On coaches show Coach said Enaruna is eligible Coach also talked up the 3 jc transfers especially Williams and Lowder. He also spoke highly of Middleton but sounds like the freshmen need some development but he seems impressed with Drake
