Good 1st half by the Vikes with solid defense.

Is this team more athletic? Seems so. And they shoot a little better too

Don't know what to make of this. Is Western Michigan that bad or is csu starting to put it together?

Don't know what to make of this. Is Western Michigan that bad or is csu starting to put it together? I think it's a little of both. Starters and the bench have improved with each game. The next four (4) games, starting with Oakland will provide a better picture.

You can definitely see the team has started to come together. Even in the opener, there were some positives. They just had some really lousy stretches of stagnate offense, blown assignments on D, bad turnovers that led to points the other way, and they had absolutely no contributions from the bench.
Then they went on the road to face two not-as-good-as-the-name-but-still-decent opponents and the defense and ball control got better. But they hadn’t quite ditched the lousy stretches or figured out the bench rotation.
Now during the 4 game winning streak, the lousy stretches are less and the bench has actually turned into a strength.
They haven’t beaten a quality opponent, but let’s be honest, they won’t face too many in the HL anyway. If they can just beat the bad teams they’ll be around .500 in conference.

It was a bunch of strangers learning to play together, they will get better as the season continues

Tay Williams is a consistent jumper away from being a star in this league. Lowder and Pryor I feel will be.

Like the turn around probably should have expected the slow start with pretty much 5 new players playing together…….Play like this from the beginning could easily be 6-1 …….Looking for 3 things being consistent Need to Rebound, make free throws, and hit 3 pointers more like last game…..One more thing contest the 3 point line , to many wide open 3 from other teams….

They’re practice and don’t tell you anything one way or the other. Just make it an exhibition. Without that game on the record, I think everyone would be excited about a 4-2 start with losses at Cincinnati and Ohio U. CSU tweeted out some interesting stats after the Western game: It was the first road win over a MAC school since 2013 and it marks the first back-to back non-conference road wins since 2011. There’s been some irrational negativity here by at least one person, but Robinson is actually off to one of the better first-year starts we’ve ever seen. Getting into conference this weekend will be much more telling.

One Tone literally beat four of the worst teams in Division I. Let's calm down about talking about how amazing he is. Unless we as a fan base have lowered our standards to the point where we get extremely excited about beating some of the worst teams in all of Division I. Winning sure beats losing, so credit for winning games. If One Tone beats ONE out of St. Bonaventure, Kent State or Loyola Marymount, I will give him some real credit.

Durda would had smashed his TV if they lost those 4 games, wanted Coach "One Tone" to be terminated and immediate shutdown of CSU Athletics.

Not enough games for any of those rating systems to converge yet. As Cliffdawg speculates, I also think the Vikes could have won some of those earlier games. But I also agree, the Vikes need to win those upcomming games to illustrate if this team lives up to higher expectations. Yes Frankiemeatballs, we should stop scheduling non-DI teams. It's like throwing in the towel. It's telling the world loud and clear "We suck, can't compete and need to pad our schedule". No excuse, don't care if we can't get DI schools to play at home. Rather see Vikes venture out and accept more pay games.
