Dennis Gates is doing it again. Mizzou is 12-1 with back to back convincing wins over ranked teams in Illinois and Kentucky. Their only loss is to Kansas. Their next game is at top 10 Arkansas. They’ve already matched their 12 wins from a year ago.
Hodge is having a career year, even at the higher level. He’s averaging career highs across the board. 16.5 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.2 assists, 2.8 steals 52%/41.8% shooting.
Gomillion was coming off the bench at the beginning of the season but has started the last few games. He’s averaging just under 20 minutes per game and is solid across the board, as you would imagine.
This is different for me. Usually I haven’t followed guys after they left. No hard feelings but I just moved on. But with Gates moving up after what he did here, I can’t help but continue to root for him. And I understand the players following, especially with the weird extra bonus year they had (otherwise they would have used up their eligibility at CSU). Both Hodge and Gomillion are proud CSU grads and I hope they keep doing well.

I glance at the Missouri page on ESPN now and then. Good to see the ex Vikes thrive.

The Gates magic still in full swing. Mizzou knocks off Utah St. with our boy Hodge leading all scorers with 23. Weird seeing Gates, Hodge and Gomillion on the sideline. Best of luck to that group.

Crazy win for Missouri last night. Trailed by 18 with 10 minutes left in the game and came back to win
