Lowder was on fire! His shooting has been a Godsend for this offense. They need to be sure he gets consistent looks.
Enaruna really got going late too. I haven’t really seen any team be able to stop Enaruna from getting what he wants inside, either from the straight post up or from him driving from the high post. I’d really like to see us feature him more. He’s already our leading scorer at 12.6 per game, but he’s doing that on 10.7 shots per game. Even in conference, where he’s averaging 15.3 points per game, he’s still only getting 12.2 shots per game. For comparison, the leading scorers in the league like Davis, Warrick and Calvin are all averaging over 15 shot attempts per game (Davis is over 20).
I think Enaruna and Lowder can make a pretty deadly two man game in the pick and roll, like the started to do in the second half yesterday. Or if you have another facilitator like Hill or Parker in the pick and roll, Lowder can stretch the floor on the opposite side, keeping the double team off Enaruna in the post.
I’m not sure what’s going on with Woodrich. He was mentioned as being sick when he didn’t play once and although he was inserted into the starting lineup after, he hasn’t played much and isn’t putting up much scoring.
I really like the athleticism and activity of Tae Williams but his lack of shooting ability doesn’t fit with the rest of the starting lineup. I still think our best offensive lineup includes both Lowder and a healthy Woodrich outside with Enaruna inside. Outside of benching Parker, which likely won’t happen, the only real way to get that lineup is to have Woodrich replace Williams. It doesn’t necessarily have to be the starting lineup, but Parker/Hill, Lowder, Woodrich, Enaruna, Spider should be a lineup we see consistently when we need offense.
