Looks like he can't shoot from three, which isn't good. But he is big at 6 foot 5, good scorer looks like. If he is a point guard would be a decent replacement for Deshon Parker I guess

If he is a point guard would be a decent replacement for Deshon Parker I guess He’s not a PG. Listed as a SF out of high school and he’s only averaged 1 assist (to 2 turnovers) per game in college. He did shoot almost 35% from 3 as a freshman, which isn’t great but would have led this year’s team for anyone averaging more than 1 attempt per game.

NKU, Robert Morris, and YSU are killing it in recruiting, they're getting SHOOTERS, something Robinson is having a hard time doing so far. Rice is an OK pick up. But the CSU staff needs to star kicking into high gear and start landing better players. RM just landed a 4 🌟 prospect. NKU is getting a lot of size including Cade Meyer out of GB. Robinson has yet to offer a player with size. He's offered 2 guards a players no bigger than 6-5 to 6-6 that won't cut with the talent RM,YSU and NKU are bringing in. Tristan needs help.

Yeah One Tone hasn't added anything at all. We lose a great big man in Spider and out starting point guard in Parker and he hasn't added anything at all

Yeah One Tone hasn't added anything at all. We lose a great big man in Spider and out starting point guard in Parker and he hasn't added anything at all Didn’t 90% of the board hate Parker? But now losing him is this great loss that can’t be recovered from? Jaylin Rice and Danny Young are both coming in as point guards. Wouldn’t say we added nothing at those spots. Young was a phenomenal HS PG with a year of post grad play under his belt. Rice is a 6’3 athletic PG who averaged 16/5/4 while shooting 48% from the field at JUCO… Guessing one of those guys will take the reigns at PG. Hard to not be excited about Smith taking a visit. 3 star recruit who can score at all levels on a D1 court and that’s already proven. He’s be a nice compliment to Williams and Enaruna on the wings/in the front court next season. Plus after Williams and Enaruna graduate next season, you’re going to need a go to guy on the wing…

Young could be that guy) RMU just landed a 4 star and YSU and NKU are killing it. Robinson needs get some immediate impact players to compliment Tae,Tristan and Lowder. So far I haven't seen it.

I’m not worried about this team not one bit, find me a 6’8 to 6’10; defense first big man ( rebounder/ shot blocker) Spider is replaced, and as for Parker who I think lost us a few games last year is easily replaceable I think Young is probably a better player then him right now. People forget this Coaching staff got off to a late star last year in putting this team together and we still almost won our league/ tournament…..We’re in better shape this time around then we were at this time last year.

Agreed. I think coach is probably also looking for very specific players to fit the team’s needs. It isn’t just a go out and grab anyone approach.

One Tone has yet to fill the production lost from Spider and Parker and good players continue to transfer to schools that aren't CSU. Not capitalizing at all on a decent to good season last year. Sad

This kid RMU got barely sniffed the floor on a bad LSU team…

My expectations were too high. I have to remember that NIL money will always be king, and CSU is still CSU, a program that plays in a bottom 10 conference in D1

Per his Twitter page, just committed to CSU Kid could be a stud in the HL. Wonder if he slots in at the starting two guard spot to bring more size to the starting lineup and shift Lowder to a 6th man role (where I think he could absolutely shine).

Parker was serviceable but I don’t view Smith as a Parker replacement. Smith isn’t a PG. I think Smith improves the production from what we got out of the 2 guard position this year. Parker replacement will be from elsewhere.

My point is that I’m guessing from a production standpoint, they give you similar things. Debrick gives you an inside presence on defense with size and can rebound. Smith gives you 10PPG to replace Parker and also replaces his defense at the guard position. We are missing the facilitating Parker did. But from a talent perspective I’m guessing Debrick and Johnson is a wash and Smith is better than Parker.

I think Parker is one of the most overrated players we have had in a long time, I think he costs of at least 3/4 games last year……..I don’t he even a D1 mid major player, if his production can’t be exceeded by a lot, then we scraping the barrel.
