Quick look: 3-star recruit. Picked South Florida over LSU and Oregon State. Did not get much court time last year. (3 years left)

Here's some video. He is not the project that Mabor Majak was. This kid can play, can see some minutes. Will be interesting to see the rotations. Wondering how Arnett fits into all this. Most bigs on a Viking roster at one time since the beginning of time.

Better up side than Majak, he will see minutes, and runs the floor better.

Sounds like a project and another Mabor Majak type player. Barely even played last year. I have no expectations for him

Majak was stiff, could not move the Dok can.

If we can get 5-10 decent minutes/game out of him (I think we can)....then he's a good get.

This kid was able to block shots w/o fouling against better competition. Also saw a couple put backs. Based on the small sample size, I do not see the comparison.

If he was such a great player then why did USF never play him Sometimes good players can get lost in the rotation, with more competition. Tristan is a perfect example of this. It can also effect a young man confidence. HM coaches can also be bias in favor of giving minutes to their four/five star players. Not giving giving other players playtime to develop. Look at the video, DOK runs the floor and can drive to the basket, he'll do well in the HL. Iam sure his confidence took a bit of a hit too. Once that's restored, he'll do fine.

It’s a lazy comparison. Not only did Muordar have legit high major offers, if you watch the videos, he’s clearly more athletic and fluid than Majak. If he was such a great player then why did USF never play him 1. Nobody said he was a great player. We said he doesn’t look similar to Majak. 2. He had legit high major offers, which Majak did not. South Florida is a high major that plays in a conference with Houston, Memphis and Cincinnati. Even the other teams that finished ahead of them, UCF, Wichita State and Temple, are much better than anything in the Horizon. South Florida finished in the middle with a NET around 150. It’s not like he snuck in a scholarship to the worst P6 program possible. 3. South Florida listed one center on their roster (Muordar was listed as a forward). The center, Russel Tchewa, averaged 11 points, 9 rebounds in 31.5 minutes per game, leaving 8.5 minutes to be claimed at the center position. He’s now transferred to Georgia. 4. In the 19 games Muordar played, he averaged 4.2 minutes per game. Meaning he took half of the available minutes at the center position. 5. When Tchewa wasn’t in the game, USF typically went small, as 6-8 forward Corey Walker averaged 15 minutes per game off the bench (after being a starter for much of the prior year). 6. As with most coaching changes, almost the entire roster has turned over at USF after they hired Abdur-Rahim from Kennesaw St.

We have all the size we need and then some, now if we can only get that PG.

its curious to me how many people think we still need a (starting) PG that is not already on our roster. We have:
Drew Lowder Jalin Rice Danny Young Chase Robinson
do we REALLY need ANOTHER PG?...I might lean toward another freshman SG/SF shooter who can develop. Either way, I LOVE this roster. The season cant get here soon enough!!..Hoping for a significant schedule upgrade as well...GO VIKES!

U can NEVER go wrong with depth and the guard position.

LOL....understood....I didn't even list our "other" guards. Smith, Pryor, etc...the point was that many here don't seem satisfied that any of the guards currently on the roster is "worthy" of STARTING at PG...I would tend to disagree, but NO ONE (especially me) is saying guard depth is un-needed. Obviously at the Mid Major level guard play is critical for a successful season.

It's one of the hardest positions to play on the team,pg guard depth is like having depth in pitching on a baseball team

I could be wrong but I think it might be hard to get a quality pg this year. I think that's why Peterson didn't commit here. There are 7 players listed at guard on this roster 4 listed as pg

I have been told that Dok might be the starter but he will be in the rotation. They like him a lot. Wow. I would have thought Debrick would be the starter at center. Well, hopefully he can be a "rim protector" and a really good rebounder

Well, hopefully he can be a "rim protector" and a really good rebounder TOTO: your friends with someone on the staff I will just say I am friends with people that work for CSU that have have a vested interest in the athletic department. I am not guaranteeing he starts. I am just saying this isn’t a Major signing. They believe this guy can play and the staff was excited to get him. They think he has some untouched potential. I think he is going to get a real shot at legit playing time and I don’t think he would be coming here if he wasn’t going to get that opportunity. Taller more athletic version of Spider.

There are 7 players listed at guard on this roster 4 listed as pg At this point I would prefer a wing who can shoot close to 40% from 3. Don’t even care if he just a specialist. Just need someone to stretch the floor.
