Just looking at the OOC % over the last 10 years, I give the Vikes an A.
Added the SOS to try to nomalize the data. However the SOS is for the full year for years 2013 - 2022.
Last 10 years of OOC results: OOC GM W L PCT SOS Wt Score ((362 - SOS) / PCT) 2013 14 8 6 0.571 120 138.29 <-- best record based on SOS in the last 10 years 2014 14 6 8 0.429 132 98.57 2015 13 5 8 0.385 199 62.69 2016 12 4 8 0.333 188 58.00 2017 13 3 10 0.231 248 26.31 2018 13 5 8 0.385 257 40.38 2019 13 4 9 0.308 221 43.38 2020 3 0 3 0.000 185 0.00 2021 7 4 3 0.571 238 70.86 2022 11 4 7 0.364 258 37.82 2023 11 7 4 0.636 178 117.09 * (based on partial schedule)

Should be another 20+ win season, which would be our 3rd straight (with a 19 win season the year before that). Starting to really build a program, with much credit due to 2 excellent coaching hires in a row. Need to keep making post-season tournaments as we have been, but this has been the most consistent stretch we've seen since the 4 year stretch from 84-88 as far as consecutive 20 win seasons goes. Stay positive and GO VIKES!

And FAU is doing things to sustain it. Signed May to 10 years contract. And Recruiting hard against FSU and Florida for Recruits. The 2024/25 class will be the most important in CSU history, according to VC we replace 8 players.

I give One Tone a C- we won one game I did not expect to win (at Bradley), and we lost two games we should not have (Eastern Michigan, YSU). In addition, allowing opponents to offensive rebound at one of the worst rates in Division I for a second consecutive year, and a 1-5 record on the road should not happen for a team with so many veteran and upperclassmen players.

Sure we returned 3 starters but we also lost both PGs and our most veteran player in Spider and then added Debrick, Rice and Smith to the rotation and were supposed to get a contribution from Moss. Then Debrick got hurt early and Rice got hurt in his first (and only) start. Point being, there were a lot of moving parts. It seems like they’re just now figuring out the best 5 and the rest of the rotation. I’ll give them a B due to some of the shortfalls we’ve all pointed out already, but I’m still optimistic about the season going forward. Remember it was about this time last year when they turned it on and won 6 out of 7 in conference before another late 5 game winning streak. I think this team is capable of doing the same.

Stay positive and GO VIKES! This is such a good point and something I think gets overlooked here, especially by the younger crowd who didn’t live through 20 years of futility from this program. Right now we’re one bad coaching hire away from being in last place again. I refuse to take anything we’ve seen from Waters, Gates or now Robinson for granted. Putting together winning seasons and hanging banners across coaching staffs is important to building a program that can survive personnel changes in the head coaches seat and ADs office.

just saw a tweet saying that this is CSUs third straight 20 win season. Hasn't happened since 1984-88.
When grading the Vikes/DRob, we need to keep the historical strength of the school in perspective. This is the best run for the school (even if it hasnt turned into ncaa tournament wins) in my lifetime. Hopefully more consistant and sustained success will help recruiting.
