Hard for me to be upset. I predicted they would lose this game on my rest of the year thread, and this game played out how so many others have all year. CSU played one half (first) extremely well, leading by 12 at halftime. And then in the second half they allow wright state to shoot 61% and score 51 points and we lose the game.
We have seen it in just about every game this year. It’s what this team is. Nothing to get all up in arms about. They are what they are.

not usually one to blame the refs, but there were also a few bad missed calls towards the end of the game tha I think legitimately affected the result.

This team has no mental toughness, Wright State showed mental toughness even when they were behind. Tristan is a good player, but not and elite one, he Tae and Drew have the ability to put the team on their backs but didn't.that Alex from Wright willed his team to a win, Cleveland State has no one like that. Again they lost to a team they have beat. We have talent, but heart. No will to win.

This is turning into a glass half full/empty season.
They have the talent to beat just about anybody on any given night. They seem to play better late when they're down than when they're ahead. Offense seems stagnant when they have a lead late.
CSU will probably be that team that winds up 5-7 and no one wants to play in the Horizon League tournament. But can they win a road game to get to Indianapolis? If they get there, will they have learned how to hold a lead late?
Questions that we'll have answers to in a couple of months.

not usually one to blame the refs, but there were also a few bad missed calls towards the end of the game tha I think legitimately affected the result. I agree. That late foul call on Arnett with the Holden flop was abominable. That cost CSU the game. He was in the lane early too. Should have been a lane violation. Holden flopped earlier in the game and got a charge against Enaruna. Pretty bad CSU had won 18-straight games at home and they're the ones that got homered down the stretch against an average Wright State team. If I'm an official and I watch this game back and see Holden flopping all over the place, I'd never give that guy the benefit of the doubt again.

Unless the Refs are systematically making bad calls, they are going to make a few errors. That's part of the game. It's like blown assignments by the players or calling a play when the matchups won't support the execution of it.
The Vikes do appear to have a systemic problem with away games and not holding leads. That needs to be corrected if there is any hope of turning this around.

This was a tough one with Oakland also losing. If we hold on to the lead we’d be a game out of first.
This is shaping up to be a year were a 6 or 7 loss team could win the conference. With the elimination of auto bids to the NIT, winning the regular season is less important for post season play. It’ll all come down to how CSU is playing in the HL tournament. I still think this team can beat anyone in the league (but they’ve shown they can lose to anyone too).

Robinson nearly got a technical, but u can't blame him. They was a terribly officiated game

Robinson has get in these guys head as well and get them to believe in themselves on the road. The only player with any real swagger and confidence I feel is Drew, more so than even Tristan. Hopefully this will light a fire under these guy now that streak has been snapped

Seems like almost every Vike team in history can't make free throws.

The men's team should hire Destiny Leo as the free throw coach. Really, not kidding.
