Obviously, a very disappointing end to what was a history making season for the CSU women's basketball team. Green Bay pretty much played a perfect game for their style of play. Green Bay can only be beat when their opponent out rebounds them, and shoots well from 3 point range. Well, GB outrebounded CSU by an eye popping margin of 41 to 22, and GB has 23 assists on 27 made shots from the field. CSU only shot 19% from three point range.

Postgame audio from kylehzrt is here: soundcloud.com/kyle-rossi-681672888/chris-kielsmeier-colbi-maples-and-sara-guerreiro-3122024?utm_source=clipboard&utm_medium=text&utm_campaign=social_sharingIn the postgame media availability, Coach Kielsmeier really talked up his CSU team and made a strong case for CSU to receive an at large bid for the NCAA tournament. However, as everyone knows, the NCAA has always and will always keep mid majors out of the big dance whenever possible. Cleveland State does have the automatic bid to the WBIT (the new name for what was the women's NIT tournament) by virtue of CSU winning the Horizon League's regular season championship. A nice benefit that the men's Horizon League regular season champion no longer receives as of this year. If I had to venture a guess, I would guess that CSU will have a home WBIT game in the first round. We shall see. Brackets for the WBIT will be announced late Sunday evening after the NCAA tournament field is unveiled.
