How do you replace Tristan, who ranks up there with Norris Cole,The Mouse and JNathan Bullock as one of the best in school history. Robinson better be hitting the portal hard,or land a very special Juco, or super special freshman.

We need a star player, a legit PG, and two pure shooters. Obviously one player could fill more then one role.

I wish the best for Tristan. He should be a good player overseas. next year you have a bunch of freshmen coming. The money spickets are opening wide and the best players will follow. This will be interesting.

The money I was talking about is associated with the mutation taking place driven by football. Look for wild stuff bubbling up out the remaining conferences and the fallout over the next 2 years (due to TV contracts being up about that time). The knives are out and they are playing for keeps. There will be some indirect impact to the rest of the schools (like CSU). Stayed tuned.

gbanks I'm a little behind on CSU's position in this conference re-alignment scramble. Are you suggesting that we'll get creamed or forced to do something drastic?

Disclaimer: All of my knowledge is public. I have no inside sources. None of it is specifically CSU related. There is a lot of noise out there and some it is rather amazing.

No problem, just wasn't sure I was missing something.

Next year looks like a rebuilding year (if there is a such thing anymore). An influx of freshmen and the existing cast of athletic slashers, I'm not sure where the offence will be coming from.

All the conference realignments, the TV contracts, paying players, etc. hurts the Cleveland State’s and Horizon League’s (not saying it isn’t right to do this). Big time college football and college basketball currently pays a huge chunk for all schools and all conferences. What happens when that money has to stay at the top to pay players? What happens to the bottom without any money? Has to be funded from a different source. What happens to Olympic sports? Has to be funded from somewhere else. The money staying at the top to pay athletes, forces evolution in a lot of other areas.

Depending on the fallout of what is taking place in the world of re-alignment, there could be some impacts to the smaller conferences. I suspect very little impact to the HL. The only one I can think of: If the those P4 conferences pulled away from the NCAA and they allow some type of salary compensation to the basketball players (as well as NIL). This may dissuade the marginal players that wanted more court time from moving to a mid-major.

Back to next year's team. They seem to be looking at alot of different players & positions & just offered a jc player even though as it stands now they have no open scholarships available. If you go by playing time would think Pryor & muordar are probably leaving.

I don't think anyone raised their stock to xfer to a better program. On the other hand, I don't think any existing player is someone you build around. Given that the known new commers are freshmen, next year's ceiling is not very high. If the coach finds better players in the portal and JUCO, he should recruit them.
In the past, I was against running players out of the program. Given how the landscape has changed, I no longer see that as an issue.

I'm more interested in a couple 3 & D wings (isn't everyone) It would also be nice to pickup a great PG.

You probably need a 3rd big for depth. Needed it this year but Muordar must really be bad he still didn't get playing time after Debrick injury. Debrick is coming off surgery so Need another big for insurance.
