So let's see, CSU has: Leaving: Enaruna Lowder Williams Woodrich Pryor Muordar Moss Incoming: Robinson Watson Stevenson Spratt Staveskie Abidde 7 out, 6 in, so I have 1 scholarship remaining for the CSU men's team. and they better not waste it. They need to knock it out of the park with this last Scholarship

Need a wing that can spread the floor.

yep read that. Reminds me of Drew. A PG that can score. 41.7 % behind the arc. That's excellent. I like it better if he could drive and kick it out to spot up wing that is 40% or better.

Staveskie and abidde seem to be good gets. Staveskie has more upside than Lowder and hopefully Abidde can become similar to Enaruna. Good size, good athlete, good recruit out of HS, just needs more consistent minutes to be a stud at mid major level.
Early guess on starting lineup…
PG: Staveskie SG: Robinson SF: Smith PF: Abbide C: Arnett
Guessing they then mix Rice in at both guard spots, Spratt or another freshman on the wing, and Debrick down low. Will see what the last spot brings in terms of shaking this up. Freshman are the obvious wild card.

I'm was frankly hoping for a departure of the lane clogging offensive again. Last year's games were hard watch. It was like viewing the same movie over and over. It got to the point where I could anticipate the next lines.

It got to the point where I could anticipate the next lines. Will be interesting to see if Debrick and Abidde can stretch the floor more on the interior, both I think are capable shooters (better 3P shooters than Tristan Enaruna and Arnett last year). If Tevin Smith shifts to the 3, he sneakily shot 43% from 3 this year which is far better than Tae. Staveskie and Robinson will also spread the floor. The biggest “clog” was Arnett and Williams were both limited from outside, could change with Debrick and whoever starts at the 3 if both more capable.

Also wondering how much of the lane clogging is how Robinson prefers to play… Below are the 3PA and % for 23-24 season for top HL teams.
OAK - 829 attempts / 35% YSU - 872 attempts / 32% UWGB - 840 attempts / 34% WSU - 569 attempts / 38% UWM - 861 attempts / 32% NKU -656 attempts / 32% CSU - 660 attempts / 34%
Interesting look that percentage was in line (could be inflated that Vikes looked only for open 3P shots vs. more contested 3P shot attempts with more volume). But interesting to see that we weren’t a bad 3P shooting team % wise, we just didn’t prioritize shooting them…

Hope your instincts are right about Debrick and Abidde. Because of where Tristan and Arnett positioned themselves on the court, Tre's natural advantage was neutralized. Most of the time, the Vikes were playing 3 on 5. Tre needed to be on a team that ran up and down the court instead of a half court offensive team like the Vikes.
